Greece - A Whirlwind Vacation

Image
Take two people who are terrible at planning, put them in Greece and what is the result? One week of jam packed activities, awesome experiences, great views and lots of delicious food. My friend and I who are both frequent travelers decided to go to Greece on a very last minute sort of trip. Neither one of us have been before and thought it would be a great place to visit. We had a grand plan; Athens, Mykonos, the Peloponnese and back to Athens. Little did we know that the skyfather Zeus had different plans for us. We started off in Athens and staying in the Plaka district. Very touristy, beautiful and a stone’s throw from the Acropolis it was a great spot for our first night. Our plan was stay one night in Athens and take a high speed ferry to Mykonos the next day…which we had not booked tickets for. When we did look up tickets, the only ferry leaving the next day was at 7 am and returning at 3 pm the following day. We hadn’t planned on spending that much time on Mykonos, b

Delta Premium Economy review

Image
So on my recent trip to Greece, I was able to fly the new Delta Premium Economy class from Detroit to Amsterdam. I had the experience of flying in a brand new Airbus A350 and on the return trip I was on the Boeing Dreamliner. Both experiences were different so I will give some details of both. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked down to my gate to see a very shiny and obviously brand new plane. I had just read news articles about the Airbus 350 and to be one of the first passengers was exciting. Boarding for Premium economy was just after Business Class. It was sandwiched in between First class and Delta Comfort.   The first thing you notice is that the seat is large and has dividers that hold your tv and tray. Now I was in the first row so it may not be the same in the other rows. But the seat was comfortable with a generous recline and a foot and leg rest that came up as well. It wasn't a lay flat, but it was definitely more comfortable than regular economy. No

Rylo Camera - is it worth it?

Image
If you are following my  YouTube  channel, you would have noticed that my last few vids show a different video than my drone vids. Most of these were filmed on the Rylo camera. You might have seen this around on Instagram and Facebook; a miniature 360 camera with image stabilization. Now I've used this camera for 3 months and this is an honest review based on my experiences. First off, the camera build quality is excellent. It's a good weight and feels solid. The lenses do protrude out which is expected for a 360 camera. The case you see in the picture is the every day case. It holds the camera in and it has a Go Pro attachment to it. It comes with a small handle. The case seems very solidly built, but doesn't do anything to protect the actual camera. There is also an adventure case, which has a plastic covering over both lenses and also is water proof up to 3 meters. This case is about $69 and honestly it is not worth the buy. I bought this case to specifically

Patagonia – Torres del Paine – The W hike

Image
Ever since my trip to Iceland, I’ve been itching to go to Patagonia. I’ve seen so many pictures of this absolutely stunning place and each year my urge to go kept increasing. This year I decided to give myself this trip as a birthday present. My trip started out with getting robbed in Santiago. Once I made it to Punta Arenas and cooled off, I was getting more and more excited about getting into the actual park. We were all picked up from our respective hotels by our driver from Wildland Trekking. We drove down to Puerto Natales and then onto Torres del Paine. We dropped our stuff off at the refugio at Las Torres to start our first day of hiking up to the namesake of the park; Las Torres. Our hike involved a fairly steep ascent of almost 3000 feet within the first mile and a half of the hike. We then traversed across the Pass of the Winds which was faithful to its name. My 360 camera that I had with me got scratched up from all the dust being kicked up. We cut through some for
